welcome to the new look marlborough.news
marlborough.news has only been reporting the news of Marlborough and its surrounding villages since April 2011, but we’ve grown a lot faster than we expected and soon realised that we needed to change the layout and scope of our website to fit in all the news, events diary, sports, features – and your letters.
The new look gives our readers:
– More stories on the front page
– A News in Brief column
– A new calendar-based What’s On diary of local events
– A clearer list of recent stories – it’s at the bottom of the front page
– A print button for those who want to print out an article
– Photos that you can enlarge simply by clicking on them
– Better showing for our advertisers
Now we want you to help us improve marlborough.news further still:
LETTERS – marlborough.news is not a blog of our personal opinions – we keep those to ourselves. But we do want to include controversy and discussion. So please send us your letters – responding to our stories or to something you’ve heard about or in response to someone else’s letter. Normal editorial decisions about publishing letters apply. Just e-mail your letter to: info@marlborough.news
EVENTS – we need to fill the diary with forthcoming events in the area – and in Wiltshire too. So whether it’s a village fete or a concert or an art exhibition send the details (with a photo if possible) to: info@marlborough.news – not forgetting the three essentials: date, time and place.
NEWS – is first and foremost what we’re about. So if you think we’ve missed something or might miss something, send us an e-mail: news@marlborough.news This applies especially to SPORTS – we need local sports clubs to let us know their fixtures and results…….
