Early Autumn at WestonbirtEarly Autumn at WestonbirtAugust:   A wet month contrasting with a dry July.  After a dry start to the month rain set in from August 6 with several very wet days.  Daily totals of 14.6mm, 10.4mm and 28.1mm were recorded on August 8, 14 and 16 respectively.  There were just 14 dry days.

Jonny Friend, Head of Science and Climate Change Leader at St John’s Academy, has become a United Nations accredited Climate Change Teacher.  This means all students at St John’s will receive cross-curricular climate change lessons. Students will learn about sustainable development goals and the green economy in the context of their community.

By completing the challenge they hope to raise a minimum of £100,000 for the cancer support charity, Victoria’s Promise.
