The Marlborough Brandt Group quiz – which returned this month after a year’s rest for the collective brains – cleared £778 to help fund this summer’s working visit to The Gambia.
Quiz organiser – and question setter – Alex Davies described it as “A really good night.”
This summer’s group of students will be charged with fencing a livelihood garden. The fence is mainly needed to keep out cattle – as well as other intruders. And the garden provides sorely needed employment and a boost to the village of Gunjur’s economy.
The group will include fifteen students and two leaders who went on the 2016 summer visit – Anna Gent and Ben Scott. They will be accompanied by two professional group leaders from Venture Force – the company that now works with MBG.
