A-level success places St. John’s 4th in the countyThe latest government A-level performance tables, published this week, places St. John’s Marlborough fourth in Wiltshire out of all state, private and selective secondary schools in the county.
The ranking is based on the Progress Score achieved. The Progress Score reveals how much progress students who studied A levels at a certain school or college made between GCSE and the end of their A-level studies, compared to similar students across England.
The Progress Score is calculated by comparing the A-level results of students at a particular school or college with the A-level results of students in schools and colleges across England who started with similar GCSE results.
Ian Tucker, Principal of St John’s, tweeted: “This is an awesome achievement for such talented students and staff.”
